GFI Malta employees join forces again to help at Rotary Club Malta’s Hands-On Day
Following the successful help offered by a troop of GFI Malta volunteers within the primary Rotary Hands-On Day in October 2009, GFI’s Charity Fund Committee in Malta organized an additional dynamic group of GFI Malta volunteers to help in Rotary’s April 2010 Rotary Hands-On Evening at Dar Jeanne Antide, a dwelling for teenage girls.
Seventeen GFI Malta employees, together with eighteen of their good friends, provided a helping hand inside a main refurbishment of the property.
Together with other volunteers, the group from GFI Malta helped with:
* Painting two massive corridors
* Painting the big space which is going to be utilized as a multi-purpose room/gym
* Painting a amount of doors
* Sanding and scrapping the iron railings from the entrance and painting them
* Sanding the benches in the back garden, both the wood and also the metal, which had been then painted
* Cleaning up the garden at the front
* De-weeding and planting the courtyard
* A common clean-up
These tough jobs had been alleviated using the lively tunes played by the DJ plus the fresh refreshments provided by Rotary Club Malta.
Besides the physical aid presented by this group, the GFI Charity Fund donated a sum of income for the bring about. The donation is becoming used to cover the price from the materials for the day time.
